    Updated Data on Crashes Involving Pedestrians and Bicyclists Now Available

    TPO staff originally released data in 2017 about crashes involving pedestrians and bicyclists in the region. Staff continues to maintain this data, and has recently updated it with information through March 2018. Updates include:

    • Sevierville data added to crash map
    • Heat maps of pedestrian and bicycle crashes added
    • Updated infographics
    • A regional comparison infographic added

    Understanding the True Costs of Development

    Joe Minicozzi with Urban3 visited the Knoxville area in November 2016 to discuss the true costs of development. Joe shared analyses of the tax receipts and other costs and benefits associated with downtowns, older neighborhoods, and suburban development patterns.
